The Langham takes its name from the London hotel that has defined quiet, unhurried luxury since 1865 — and the box makes good on that reference entirely. The exterior is dark espresso wood veneer, lacquered smooth and deep, its sides and base a study in the kind of understated richness that requires no ornament. The lid is where the craft declares itself: a shagreen-textured panel in warm taupe — its pebbly surface set flush within the veneer surround like a picture in a frame — creates a material contrast that is tactile as much as visual.
